The greatest delivery service in the entire world.

Open 'til 1.30am
Food: 7/10
Service: 10/10

I super-heart zifty.com!!! It is bar none the best delivery service available in metro Atlanta. Their focus is delivering food from restaurants in the customer's area (you enter your zip and they pop up a list to choose from); however, they also deliver DVDs, video games, cigarettes, condoms (awww YE-YAH), not to mention a random selection of grocery/household goods like pet food, magazines, and food stuffs. Apparently, they're considering adding full-blown grocery delivery services to their line-up; after a recent order, they emailed me a survey which focused on that topic. If zifty.com does start to deliver groceries, I will be more than happy to have someone else carry my water and cat litter (see "My 2 bag limit")! ^_^

In my zip, zifty.com delivers bistro, mexican, thai, and deli food. They offer desserts not only from the restaurants, but also from Chocolate Pink (www.chocolatepink.com). I've ordered about 4 times since I've discovered them, and plan to order again. What I love about them is that not only are they open late, but they're also dedicated to good customer service. Anytime I have had a problem, zifty.com's resolution is always quick and courteous, and they go above and beyond to make sure the problem is solved. For instance, when you order, you can choose either the "ASAP" option where you'll get your order in 30 min to 1 hour, or you can choose a future time that's convenient for you. (For all the office workers, you can also schedule lunch to be delivered the next day, but I'm not sure how many days in advance they work. I think 7 days, though.) The second time I used the service, the delivery person was a couple minutes late, so I called to see about how much longer it would be. Not only did the zifty.com operator apologize AND call the driver, but the driver also called to let me know what cross-street he was on. A week later, I even got a coupon in the mail, which was total icing on the cake. Furthermore, my orders, complete w/ special instructions, have always been correct.

I rated them a little lower on food simply b/c it depends what restaurant you order from. Some are more delicious and consistent than others, though the only place I ever had truly terrible food from was this mediterranean place in Midtown. I emailed zifty.com and told them about the gross food and suggested some other Greek/Mediterranean spots that would be much better. I also really like that you can opt to return DVDs by mail or by drop-box (cheaper) if there's one in your area. BTW, the first time you order a DVD, it's free, and they even throw in some microwave popcorn to sweeten the deal. Try it today!

yeh, I have used zifty a couple of times. It makes a difference where you are of course and there are a couple crappy resturants on the list. But zifty do me good. I would love them to go pick up groceries and bring em here--almost to good to be true!

We've actually been working on a way to deliver groceries -- but there are a number of difficult issues to overcome first. Even so, we're hoping to do a test later this year and roll it to the entire Zifty delivery area if it goes well.
